Severe lacerations to an arm and elbow.  She was taken to a hospital immediately, the wounds debrided, sutured, medicated with a follow up the next day.  Total cost $25, which, though, would have been a bit for many of the residents.  However, the professionalism and simple care is more than we can expect nowadays in the USA where primary care groans under the weight of specialists who offer interventive medicine without health.

Y'know, I guess that the death panel bean counters of the health insurers just do not realize that having a long-standing relationship with one's physician is better for our overall health.  But then, that would mean increasing more primary care physicians through biases against specialty medicine.

America has become a "can't do" nation where feeling good about "morning in America" takes the place of actually accomplishing anything as a society.  That in itself - the prospects of living in a sharecropper nation - is enough to drive any sane young person to emigrate.
