    I agree the aquifer is in peril.

    I agree that the current rails are less safe.

    But we should be arguing two totally different issues:

    First we are risking our environment for oil that will be sold on the world market. This isn't about oil for us or profits for American companies.

    But foremost, we should be figuring out ways to make use of oil less convenient. This isn't it.

    My husband suggests it should be rejected, then a tax placed on transporting it by rail totally devoted to improving the nation's rail system.  Makes sense to me but fat chance.
