  •  Had an aunt go to Big Spring for a stint in '70s (4+ / 0-)

If you know what I mean. Family called it a long fishing trip. As a kid, I couldn't figure out why everyone was crying since we all loved fishing - especially her.

So, I guess you wouldn't happen to recall anything from Houston that I wrote about? The 2 No Bills? I only searched 2 Google pages back for each one. All results were much more recent, but I can't recall the decade they happened. Maybe 90s &/or 2000s (not 2010+). They both made news in Houston. Asian store clerk shot black shoplifter in back, and black firefighter shot white repo guy in back. I confess, I did NOT use race/color in my searches.

    •  most recent one I've cared about was that (9+ / 0-)

23-year-old dad down in South Texas who caught an SOB raping his toddler, and beat the guy to death with his fists.

I hope the whole family gets counseling and support. I was awful proud of the grand jury that no-billed that young dad.

      •  Ack, I remember that one! (4+ / 0-)

Same with you, I'm glad the GJ did a good job there!

Hoping this family gets the same - no bill, intense counseling, and the ability to move on without guilt and self hate.
