    Was to give Congress the power to regulate and issue patents and copyright.

    You are mistaking the motivation for the enumerated power, which is a completely different thing, and in the context of criticizing Perry is something you should stop defending and fix. We all make mistakes, but when you have lawyers and law school graduates who've taken the time and care to point out your error and still you dig in further, it should be a signal to you that maybe you're off base.
