Had a good write up on this. Seems thy have a bonified killer for Police Chief Gordon Eden

The Albuquerque Police Department has been under federal review by the U.S. Department of Justice since 2012 when the agency’s record of shooting 25 suspect – 17 fatal – garnered national attention. The department has added 11 more shootings to that list since the end of 2012. Albuquerque officers have shot more persons than the NYPD, a department serving a city 16-times larger, since 2010.

when Chief Schultz was still in office.  He and the mayor claimed every shooting was justified.  A cry went up for Schultz to step down, but the mayor kept backing him.  The chief stepped down in August.  This rethuglican mayor was reelected in Nov (the NM dem party has been MIA since they elected loser Sam Bregman party chief last year).  This new chief, chosen by the mayor, was the head of the State Police, so bad choice, as he had just justified his officers shooting at a woman and her children in their van on the road to Taos last summer (oh, yeah, they were black and probably dangerous).

The community is finally outraged and the mayor, in the fetal position, apologized and said his Police Chief was wrong - this shooting was NOT justified.  It's going to get interesting to see what happens.  The DOJ has just met with a group of citizens asking for this to be added to their investigation.

If you acknowledge it, you can change it.
