    ... their opinions, the Justices have access to drafts written by those who dissent or concur in a separate writing. That's how you get the snarky back-and-forth in some of the opinions and dissents. She did write the "Opinion of the Court," though, and she deserves high praise for it!

    On another note, back when I did criminal law, my state was one of the first to enact this type of legislation. You should have seen the looks on people's faces when they learned they would have to give up their guns. Also, because of federal funding, prosecutors were required to seek a conviction even if the injured party refused to testify. I know those policies, working in tandem, probably led to some very nasty arm-twisting (or worse) at home, but I still think it is the best policy for a very bad situation.  

    Rand Paul is to civil liberties as the Disney Channel is to subtle and nuanced acting. Ron Paul thinks he's a wit, but he's only half right.
