    This graph is a good example of the truism how to lie with statistics.
    Because the base line is set to 6,980,000 instead of zero, and the increments are in 20,000, the graph makes is appear that the actual is six times or 500% more than the amount of the projected, when the truth is that the actual is 7,100,000/7,000,000 or only 1.0143 times or 1.43 percent more than the projected amount.

    By creating the dimensions for the framing of the graph a false relationship is created between the projected and actual amounts for the visual impact and misrepresentation.
