    This beats everything! It's pathetic but serious.  A few "old white guys" may be forced to go home without voting, but I suspect women -- old and young -- will be the ones most affected.  What this shows, again, is that the only way to end these GOP shenannigans is with a Constitutional Amendment guaranteeing all US citizens (including ex-felons) the right to vote, coupled with federal regulations that maximize the exercise of that right.  What other Western-stye "democracy" doesn't already have this . . .  often coupled with a  financial penalty for those citizens who fail to go to the polls?  Whoa! I can just imagine the uproar from all those GOP "patriots", who applaud every Red-state restriction on ability TO vote, when faced with a governent restriction on the right NOT to vote.   So let's leave penalties out of this discussion!
