I do hope that the media doesn't grab a hold of the shiny new object - Sebelius resigning - to divert attention from all the positive feedback the ACA has been getting.
I sorta wish the Secretary had waited just a little longer before announcing her departure from the post.

midterms. And I am hoping Sebelius does something miraculous and knocks Pat Roberts out of the Senate.  Kansas was devastated by Kathleen Sebelius's absence.

Really? Now? Just when we are starting to get good press you throw this monkey wrench in the works?
        C'mon!

        •  She had lost confidence of President Obama and his (0+ / 0-)

senior advisers with the bungled roll out.

President Obama had been saying since October that people will be held accountable for the bungled website.

This is the best time to turn the page and move on.

then she should be credited with fixing it.
From a purely human relations viewpoint, who best to have at the helm now? Someone who screwed up and then learned from making it right? Or a brand new person who will need to be taught the intricacies, technical stuff, and lingo from scratch?
In any case, I just don't think that you do this right now. Give the narrative a chance to take hold. The tide started changing - literally -  ten days ago.

              place.

She does not deserve credit for fixing it.

It took lots of money and a team of Google engineers and the Management Consultant guy they brought in temporarily to get the website up and running.

Why does she deserve credit again?

              •  Agreed, but it did happen. (0+ / 0-)

And she was still at the helm when the problem was fixed. She oversaw the whole process. She should have left  when the problem first came to light, or wait a year - even six months -after March 31st.
This morning, Joe Scarborough and company spent 20 minutes or more (and it isn't 8 am yet) talking about the resignation: Was she pushed out? Did she really want to resign? Is this a sign of Obama taking the victory lap. And on it went. Can't imagine what Fox and Fox-lite are doing with this story.

is the media narrative, it didn't actually happen this way.

Fear doesn't just breed incomprehension. It also breeds a spiteful, resentful hate of anyone and everyone who is in any way different from you.
