  •  May I say a good word for Whataburger (7+ / 0-)

Back when I worked for the University and was a member of the Women's Advisory board to the U president, we used the fact that Whataburger offered college tuition assistance to get tuition assistance for the low paid staff at the University ...

Whataburger also offers health and retirement benefits .. it is the only fast food establishment I will eat at because the chain does seem to treat its employees right ...and their patty melts and green chili burgers are delicious! ;-)

Right now McAwful is offering mango shakes - a big weakest of mine .. but I go to Whataburger instead

    •  The smoothies and new Italian style coffees (2+ / 0-)

at MDs is not so good.

Too much sugar, not enough caffeine in the coffees, they might as well be powdered coffee with liquid doughnuts.
And most of their "baristas" don't know how to make an espresso.

Sometimes MD is the only place to go on a toll road in these parts :(

Their smoothies upset our stomachs, which can only mean one thing: Artificial Sweeteners like sorbitol or flavoring agents. I and the kids get such a belly ache from them and like the coffees, lots of added sugar.

      WTH.

WB is better. I don't eat their often because that kind of food is not good for a person, but of all the fast food places to eat, theirs is pretty good.
