    directing my original comment toward. Occupy was a hot potato. Mainstream people and candidates don't often hold hot potatoes for very long. That is like a law of gravity. Meanwhile, the people who've sacrificed much through direct action justifiably are ticked off. It's all part of the cultural stew. My favorite book is Turgenev's Virgin Soil. It is all about the revolutionaries being and feeling sold out. But a generation later they won. We don't have a generation to waste, with global warming, but we cannot fully control timing and sequencing. We can just each do our best as species-beings and hope the culture will catch up to reality in time. Regards.
