    these books specifically for (feminist and/or feminist-leaning) men in a recent diary where I'd commented previously.

    About midway through college, I was active in the 1981-2 ERA ratification effort in Jokelahoma, having read Friedan's "The Feminine Mystique" and Against Our Will by Susan Brownmiller, as encouraged by my feminist then-girlfriend and her mom.  

    I also read Dr. Herb Goldberg's The Hazards of Being Male and The New Male, both of which confirmed for me that feminism wasn't only for women. (emphasis in original)

    I've already rec'd "Against Our Will" and "The Feminine Mystique" here as classics (IMHO) and others I haven't (yet) read but have heard enough praise for from respected others to endorse them 'by proxy'.

    I'm also still planning to get to my copy of Stiffed by Susan Faludi someday....
