  •  The irony of the word "noble" (none)
    The word "noble" invokes the connotations of "the nobility".  

    The Iraq war is a "noble" cause, in that it is a war that is being fought in the interests of the "nobility" -- the rich and powerful.

    I wouldn't brag about it.  It is unlikely to bring much comfort to the families who have buried fathers, mothers, sons, daughters and loved ones to be reminded that they died to make the rich richer.
