    how do you know Reid isn't using her as a posion apple for 2006.  Just another line in the long litany in the 'culture of corruption'.  Reid said he was "glad she was picked".  Glad because she's a perfect example of cronyism and pisses off the right wing base.

    Winning in '06 has just as much to do with turning off GOoP voters as it does with getting Dems to the polls.

    We have no power right now, and can't change any of it until 2006.  If we get the House and Senate, we can investigate these GOoPs, and get control back of Congress for 30 years.

      suppose the dems win in 2006 and control the senate for another 12 years (roughly same period as repubs hav now) -- ms miers is probably still a justice then and likely would be for another 15 or so years.
