  •  If you have any Chicago ties at all, (4.00)
you've got to root for the Sox.

Beggars can't be choosers, right? And we Chicago baseball fans have been begging for a World Series for a long, long time.

    •  This Is True (4.00)
During my law school days in Chicago, I loved going to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs play.

But, oh, how my heart would ache if Senators Durbin and Obama had to lose a World Series bet to Senators Cornyn and Hutchison.

Plus, when I was little, I loved Minnie Minoso of the White Sox (even though I was a Milwaukee Braves fan during the era of Warren Spahn, Lou Matthews, Joe Adcock and Hank Aaron).

      •  I love Minnie - (none)
he still goes to games.  He loved the game when he played.  And he was a spiffy dresser.

The beneficiaries are likely to be...large corporations and development firms. (O'Connor, J. dissenting in Kelo). God bless you, J. O'Connor.

    •  My Ties to the White Sox (none)
are limited to the fact that their farm club used to be the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

That was my home town. Now it's a bastion of Christian Dominionists.

So much for my Pale Hose ties.

I reserve the right to revise and extend my remarks in Sozadee CA.
