  •  i think you do have to be of a certain age (none)
i'm 27, but i think i remember reading about those jokes in some books when i was young, maybe Judy Blume books, written many years before i was born. could you please explain what that means? i never could figure it out. thanks. hate to seem naive, but hey.

i feel bad for the kid. i've known pathological liars. sounds like he might be one. he wasn't trying to harm anyone. first thing i thought when i saw it was a hoax, i figured he was late with a paper or had missed one too many classes and needed a novel excuse. and then he got a little too creative. it just sucks that he let it get this far, just cause he liked all the people calling his cell phone.

is a kind of pipe tobacco that was packaged loose in cans, like coffee.  My grandfather smoked it.

Anyway, if you have Prince Albert in a can, let him out.

Kids/drunks/@ssholes would prank call homes and say this.

Same child-level joke as: Is your refrigerator running?  Then catch it.

It is still on sale, but not as popular as it used to be, so if you prank called with it now you might have to call a hundred people before anyone had Prince Albert in a can whereas you might only take two or three calls to do so back in the 50s-60s.

i'm not sure why i'm writing this when I have a boatload of stuff to do this morning but that's the measure of my dVotion to the needs of the dKos community!

Politics is like driving. To go backward, put it in R. To go forward, put it in D. IMPEACH

      reference for you.

I can easily imagine this thing getting out of control, from the kid's perspective.  It starts small, maybe an excuse or a prank, and then spools way beyond his ability to control things, fast.

Given the current political climate, I can easily imagine people wanting to run with the story.

I almost feel sorry for the kid.

      Almost.
