i haven't followed this case closely but that is some damning facts. I didn't know about that money ordeal.

  at least, not for the guy on the stand. He has a case-defense of "I Misspoke" to work out. But it sounds to me as if the Judge wants to know why Mr. Buckingham left a few details out of his previous testimony
  Q. Do you have any explanation for why Mr. Buckingham in this same series of depositions in January of 2005 also failed to admit that he was involved in soliciting money for the purchasing of this book? Do you have any explanation for that?

    Trial judges rarely if ever excercise their perogative to question a witness independantly, and almost NEVER with a transcript in front of them. The judge was engaged in what lawyers call "impeaching the witness" and I thin he was impeaching BOTH of them. When a "visibly angry" judge leaves the Courtroom, contempt citations and referrals to the DA usually follow. At the very least I'd expect some fairly heavy Discovery violation sanctions, and possibly a fine or three directed a defense counsel.

      His attorney allow him to dodge the question? I would think that after two or at most three timeof the Judge asking the witnes, that his counsil would ask the judge to have a "come to Jesus meeting" with the witness. It's obvious that he was in contempt!

        Mr. Harvey, on cross, often put the same question to him 3 times or more. I don't know why the judge didn't bitchslap the witness. Maybe he still will.
