reveal one's true character. The very fact that she felt compelled to comment on this race the way that she did is revealing of bigotry. It's not like she was led into that comment or it was taken out of context. When people on their own start introducing racial issues, especially in a negative context, they tell a lot about themselves. Her follow up reaction confirms the original negative impression. So, no, it is not an innocent comment at all. There is a sports talk guy in Chicago who is the same way. He tries to dress up his comments with pseudo "objective" framing, but he is constantly introducing a race-based perspective into his show.

Furthermore, there is evidence, by analysts like Jonathan Fineman and the later remarks by the Clinton campaign that, while they may not have planned these remarks, they were not opposed to them at all, and they fit into this ongoing narrative to narrowly define Obama as an "angry black candidate" as well as fan the racial fears of her base supporters.

So, sorry, these are not false charges at all, and they aren't insignificant.

Why don't you just face it, Hillary? You're not one of the good guys anymore.

in public about Obama and at least once about Jesse Jackson.  As she has said it multiple times about multiple people - either it is calculated, or she is extremely stupid.
