  •  Their coal-powered Tandy TRS-80 computer isn't (6+ / 0-)

hooked up to the tubes. And you would have to fire up the internets to know about this.

Honestly, do these people know what decade, what century they're running in? Everything they do is just so, so, 80s. I'd accuse them of being a 90s campaign but they're just not there yet.

In the 80s, 90s and even 2000, McCain could simply go to this event.

The evening news would show 3 minutes of select footage of McCain "as a man of the people."

Broder would write a piece of excrement in the WaPo talking about how McCain went to a spontaneous townhall with blue collar workers where he was well received and how this shows how much trouble Obama was in.

The New York Times would be doing a hit piece about Obama's "problem" with blue collar voters. (There is none of course.)

And the AP would stenographically type whatever press release some McCain staffer wrote for them and call it an original work.

but this is the era of youtube and the internet, where citizen bloggers get news out.

I shall not rest until right wing conservatives are 4th party gadflies limited to offering minor corrections on legislation once or twice a year.
