    I usually put babies to bed by 8pm. They might wake up for a bit to eat or get a diaper change, but you don't put a baby in a busy, crowded room at night unless you have to. Too stimulating.

      Some babies don't develop a routine for months, especially if the parents don't have a fixed schedule.

      I've had friends who were really on a time-schedule, right from the first. Then there was me and my "breastfed on demand" baby. She didn't have any sort of "schedule" until she started sleeping through the night, and even then her "bedtime" was incredibly elastic. I was carrying her around with me constantly, and she would sleep as she felt like it.

      I wouldn't call Palin out just for that.
