  •  boo fucking hoo (8+ / 0-)

totally serves her dumb ass right.

Why are you crying? and she said ‘I already voted for McCain, I’m a Republican, and they said we had to leave because we didn’t look right,’" Elborno said.

    •  I must disagree (9+ / 0-)

Believing in, or voting for, any particular candidate should not merit shabby treatment from anyone. This attitude seems like a watered-down version of "she deserved to be raped".  Ugly, no matter the circumstances.

      •  that might be (5+ / 0-)

the biggest leap of imagination I've ever seen and I find it perverse that you would make that analogy.
The entire republican apparatus doesn't give a rats ass about the average person and yet there are millions who would vote for the very people who make it their business to fuck them over, and in the mean time, fuck me over too. Shabby treatment? Boo fucking hoo.

        •  Again I have to agree (5+ / 0-)

that's a ridiculous analogy. A person who is raped is a victim who has no choice. This women chose to vote for McCain, a well-known asshole who treats pretty much everyone like shit. Now she's surprised and hurt over who he turned out to be? Sorry but anyone voting for McCain at this point has no excuse for not knowing that he's a total jerk who doesn't care about anything and is running a totally inept campaign same as he would run a totally inept government.

She had a choice in this, and she chose wrong. Experiencing the consequences may suck for her, but it was the consequences of a freely chosen action, nothing whatsoever like a rape victim, and I really don't feel sorry for her either.

        •  The lack of choice (0+ / 0-)

is being thrown out of a rally with no real reason. That's the "rape" part. Choosing to vote for McCain doesn't warrant being thrown out any more than choosing to wear a tight skirt warrants being raped.

Some women make bad choices that can lead to rape. Do they "deserve" it? No.

This women made a disatrous choice in whom to vote for President. Does she deserve public humiliation and to be treated as an outcast by her own Party? No.

Sorry that you don't have the empathy to see the parallels here.

          •  I have plenty of empathy (0+ / 0-)

and screw you for trying to equate "my lack of empathy" with your ridiculous analogy. Sometime after you say some dumb shit you should just be quiet for awhile.

      •  You don't love cancers, you cut them out!!! (0+ / 0-)

I suppose by your logic we should also embrace those Nazi's from WWII, right?  After all,

Believing in, or voting for, any particular candidate should not merit shabby treatment from anyone.

At some point, you have to take responsibility for your beliefs and actions.  Live up to them.  They fucked up, badly, like all republicans are doing these days when they support this society destroying agenda of that party.  They need proper feedback on their fuckups so they can learn.  Consoling them does not seem to be whatI would call effective.  YMMV.

So, it is certainly your right to hold their hand and stroke them.  As for me, I want to drill it into their thick little skulls that they were, and are, dumbfucks and if they learn, then , and only then, come on and join the light.  If they cannot fathom that deficit of thier character, then fuck them.  You don't love cancers, you cut them out, else you will be destroyed!!!

    •  That was my feeling too (4+ / 0-)

I really can't feel sorry for anyone who was dumb enough to vote for McCain. Now she's realizing, I suppose, that she voted for an asshole and wishes she hadn't. She should have been paying attention before she voted and she would have known better.
