    I like the idea of these weekly statements coming out on YouTube instead of just radio, but frankly, I wasn't much impressed with what Obama had to say. I was looking for something new, that is to say, new information and a more personal feeling...

    I suspect Obama's learning how to be casual with a camera for his audience, but he seemed stiff and distant to me. I'm hoping someone on his staff is reading these comments. I agree it's important to decide exactly what these weekly addresses are meant to do. It seems to me they're meant to create a kind of FDR fireside chat... reassurance and access.... which is why (IMHO)it should feel personal and relaxed, not formal like some big speech. Just saying.
