    They had several groups that each were supposed to place 100 or, however many.  But when people were done, they would help other groups.  My daughters, mother, and a friend of my older daughter and her mother joined several other members of my congregation.  This particular memorial was nation-wide and CodePink was involved.

    At another milestone, I cannot remember exactly which one (2,000 or 3,000), the local Veterans for peace placed flags on an esplenade in the Heights.  This particular memorial was a multi-day memorial, with various groups facilitating a service or words of some kind each night.

    I really admire the group that puts up Arlington West each week.
