  •  Actually, that's why one of our senators quit (20+ / 0-)

Mark Dayton said most of the time he was expected to attend fundraisers for re-election, and he felt his responsibility was to the people back home and he wanted only to work for them, not waste his time at fundraisers, so he announced he'd finish his term and then not run for re-election.

Amy Klobuchar was elected to replace him.  She's our junior senator and her record is very uneven, mostly DINO, since she votes with the Repukes most of the time.  It's very annoying.  I'm not sure I'll vote for her when she is up for re-election.  No, I'll not vote for a Repuke, but I can leave the ovals next to both names blank.... the equivalent of a Senator or Rep being noted as Present for a roll call vote but choosing not to vote.

All politicians have become very annoying creatures.  I'll give them six months to redeem themselves and start acting like they have ethical and moral standards.  By then they should have enough time to organize investigative committees to look into the lies and war crimes committed and authorized by Bush and Cheney, and Obama should have enough time to sign on to the World Court so they can do something about Bush, Cheney, et alia, if our spineless chickenshit Congress Critters still refuse to do what's right.

I want justice for those who died or were maimed for life for the sake of lies for oil and the profit margins of oil and mercenary corporations, not to mention Halliburton, Carlyle, etc.
