    have been ballast in the ships that brought many of our Irish, Scottish and English, not to mention Welsh, ancestors over to work as indentured servants.

    These bricks still survive in many historic colonial towns, cities and especially wharves of the the rivers the ships sailed up along the east coast to unload their cargo.
