  •  Repub 'set-up' for Obama (16+ / 0-)

Break EVERY LAW POSSIBLE - as BLATANTLY as possible.

The DARE the new Democratic President to investigate and prosecute.  Scream "Partisan Witchhunt" if it DOES happen or "Coward" if he doesn't.

Isn't it all about making theother side (the Democrats) look bad?

Would be supremely ironic if the salcvation of the REPUBLICAN Party is having a few of thier own leaders disown the Bushg years, call for Prosecutions and run on the 'reform' banner if the Dems DON'T do it.....

Obama should do what the law - what his oath of office and the will of the electorate - requires- investigate and prosecute - HOLD PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE for their actions.  And if some Dems were complicit.... they should be prosecuted too.

You can be that there are enough Republicans willing to cross over and join a 'bipartisan' effort - if only to distance themselves from the Bush years (and hold onto their own seats).

C'mon - the senior Republican Leadership KNOWS damn well that Bush was a clusterf88k that HURT this nation and damn near killed their party.  Guys like Hagel are walking away in disgust. They KNOW that the image of the US abroad has been poisoned by Bush and ONLY with prosecutions can we regain ANY 'moral standing' - failure to act will destroy this nation's standing and put Obama in a real bind if other nations decide to seek out an prosecute Americans under International Law.
