IMHO really comes down to one of three core reasons.

    1. The majority of the MSM can actually dictated by the "shadow gov't".
    1. Other journalists do not find Tice credible enough to follow it.
    1. Pie.

Even if #2 was the primary reason, it is at least newsworthy enough to cover with the pretense that it is unsubstantiated. You know, the type of headline like "Did The NSA Really Spy On Illegally?" as opposed to "The NSA Is Spying On Illegally!"

I'm becoming just as interested in the reason behind it as the actual story.

      It's always been the story.

It ain't called paranoia - when they're really out to get you. 6 points.

    •  What was the 2003 program Ashcroft wouldn't sign? (0+ / 0-)

that's one of the real questions here.

Other posters here correctly point to Iran-Contra grad Poindexter's "Total Information Awareness" program, which was supposedly shot down.

      That's what this was.

What were they doing with it?

How many pols, reporters, editors were/are they able to blackmail with stuff they dug up?

Could that be the reason no body talks about it?

"The insinuation from the Obama campaign that John McCain, a former prisoner of war, cheated is outrageous"
