    Alabama generates 150% more power than it uses - the rest goes out of state. It's generated in especially dirty coal fired plants. The Alabama laws are tailored to the benefit of the coal barons here.

      proposing to build are owned by a federal agency, that agency will be able to condition their use and one of the conditions might have to do with "efficiency" rates.  Efficiency can be interpreted to include the avoidance of waste.  Much of the energy we produce actually goes to waste because, just to cite one example, the equipment in a nuclear plant still can't handle the high temperatures and have to be cooled by water that's dispersed into the environment.

      How do you tell a predator from a protector? The predator will eat you sooner rather than later.
