    I've no clue whether I oppose price controls for drugs or not, honestly. It would depend on how they were done, what they were effective in doing, and whether or not they could be effective.

    I'm merely criticizing the industry for not spending more resources on curing real diseases and less on the fluff.

      when they can make money on real diseases.

      But look what's happening, for example, with anti-AIDS drugs.

      The industry is being told that because people are dying they must sell these drugs cheap.  But no one says that about drugs like Viagra.  So where do you think they put the research dollars?

        the betterment of human lives is more important than profit.

        Easier said than done, sure, but I don't think the problem is that we're trying to make important drugs inexpensive so that people can live.
