    sensitivity tests take 3 days and say both what bacteria you have and which antibiotics it's sensitive to. It's better to use the anitbiotic that's specific to the organism rather than a broad spectrum that can cause more resistant strains to develop. Some people consistently get the same organism, and so can usually skip the test if symptoms are the same. That's the advantage of having a regular Dr. Bloodwork for bronchitis is the wrong approach, culture of sputum or bronchial washings ( in hospital test) are diagnostic. There is a lot of variation between docs, some hand out scrips like candy, others are more responsible and some are on the other end of the spectrum.

    BTW-WBC (white blood cell count) is elevated in bacterial infections.

    And for the record- dish soap, hot water and clean sponges are plenty for cleaning up after cutting meat.
