      but he recently dropped out of the play he was doing on Broadway, "Speed-the-Plow", claiming that he had mercury poisoning brought on by a diet consisting solely of tuna sushi.

      This was big news here in NYC, and really big for me, since it happened about 10 days before I was going to see the play, and I was P.O.ed. We saw William H. Macy instead.

      I'm pretty skeptical about Pivens. I think he was bored, wanted out of his contract and he ignorantly chose a dramatic-sounding excuse. If he pops up on the next season of "Entourage" looking fine, it will confirm my suspicions.

        Merc poisoning? I think one would need to eat so much fish that cats would eat yer crap....

          Fish at the top of the food chain (tuna and swordfish are the most popular) tend to concentrate the mercury from the smaller fish they eat (remember, it's like roaches in a Roach Motel - once it's in, it doesn't come out). Pregnant and nursing women are toldto restrict their intake of this type of fish to a lot less than Pivens claimed to be eating.
