  •  May I suggest signing up PC's (6+ / 0-)

at your house parties?  One of the problems we still have is old-line party officials who are not yet with the grassroots program.  If you don;t know how, call your County Democratic office.  And do sign up yourself.  The greater the number of progressive PC's there are, the greater the representation at the state and national level.

Here in Arizona there was a progressive coup for party chair because we have focused on recruiting and training precinct committeemen, moving them on to the State Committee, and then building an active Progressive caucus to lobby for policy positions and also move up in the party power structure.  Plus recruiting people for lower level public office, to build a badly needed bench.

I love that President Obama (has a ring to it, doesn't it?) is using the resources from the campaign, and am enthusiastically happy to be included, but in order to have LASTING change (beyond his term of office) we need a progressive PARTY as well.  That depends on  more progressive PC's.
