  •  think.... lawyer. (34+ / 0-)

this is a case that calls for all KINDS of legal action.  the place MADE you sick - aggravated illness due to poor conditions.

skirting the legality of "layoffs" and re-hires?  any lawyers out there?  is this legal?  can any action be taken?

o.s.h.a. violations?  class action suit here. talk to others who have previously or currently work there.  build a case.

discrimination?  are you male or female?  do others have issues that are being ignored based on gender? age?

e.e.o.c.  worth filing a complaint to see if others have gone through similar treatment.

the ONLY way to correct situations like this is to use the full force of law - labor board, e.e.o.c., civil lawsuit.

until we start to fight back, nothing will change.  now, at least, we have a government behind us.  if nothing else, the rules for employees in the future will change.

before you think it can't be done... i put the 4th largest real estate holdings company in america out of business.

sex discrimination filed with the e.e.o.c. - to keep the s.o.b. that i no longer worked for but who fired me anyway for not sleeping with him, the company sent him to england to head the canary wharf project - he f*cked it up so badly, the company went under.

why do i claim victory (not to mention the very nice swedish warmblood horse i bought with the settlement)?  well, i met the cousin of the richman brothers, i smiled and said my name - she burst out laughing and said "they DESERVED it!" (they knew of this man's abuse of women for years and covered it up - sent him to england to keep him from testifying and breaking the scandal wide open...)

so, the point is, fighting for what is right will always make you a winner!  sometimes, even a bit richer!  after all, i told that s.o.b.v.p., when he asked what i did for "sex" - i told him "without commitment, i'd rather be with my horse!"  thanks to that question (and other behavior), i am still with him (the one i bought with the settlement!)  8^)
