    Clinton fully bought into the magical thinking that is globalization (you know, he's hanging out in Davos as we speak). Were you around for NAFTA?

    And Nixon? The president who imposed wage and price controls during his tenure? Who signed into existence the Environmental Protection Agency?

      Bretton Woods, was indeed another mixed blessing.

      And the R and D tags don't carry much weight when it's congress vs. the executive.

      Clinton, with his great desire for approval, often did seem a willing enabler of NAFTA, but there's a backstory that the impetus came more from Gore than Clinton on NAFTA.
