  •  I watched my friend get arrested yesterday. (6+ / 0-)

I was going to fatburger to get lunch.  There is a young black homeless guy that hangs out there.  It's his spot.  He has been arrested a few times for "being black"  as I like to call it. They said someone was using "drugs" and he had pot on him. He was rejected for training for working inside a nursing home, due to his police record.  Someone offered to pay for his school, but the school told him not to waste his time, with his police bust.
He was offered a job as a security guard from someone but he could not get a "guard card" with his 3 arrests.
He was arrested again, he was punched by a drunk, and he fought back. A window broke.  The guy has no where to go, so the locals give him clothes, food, spare change.  Back to yesterday, He was hanging out, listening to music, and as I went into fatburger the cops rolled in, and decided to have a chat with him.  I saw them take him away.  Once again, guilty of being black.   There are programs that he has attempted to get, but they really aren't there.  He was given a place to stay, but he said he would rather sleep in his usual spot than to be grouped with the homeless.
This is a joke.  Don't the cops have real issues to deal with ?
