  •  I just had dinner with a group of Canadian nurses (6+ / 0-)

    at a huge conference of critical care nurses (10,000) meeting this week in New Orleans. They are proud professionals and patient advocates in every sense of the word. They care about what's best for their patients and they substantiate what you've said. They feel a collective responsibility to make sure that their system is the best it can be. It is a source of national pride that reinforces their common bond as a society.
