    regulatory oversight. The profiteers can charge whatever they wish, change "contract" terms at will, drop coverage on a whim. And there's not a damned thing most people (nor most small businesses) can do about it. Even if someone has the means to bring a lawsuit, they're often dead or bankrupt (or both) before it's adjudicated.

    What, oh what will it take for the American people to shut down this gargantuan scam?

      Each state has its own rules and its own Department of Insurance with different philosophies on shenanigans.

        now with State Law controlling the ability of health care companies to dump you on a whim.

        Time to make this an interstate commerce issue.   Why should I be insurable in Maryland and not in Pennsylvania?  Where is the equity in this?
