Where are the Democratic talking heads in the media calling out the Republicans on their endless lies? How did "death panels" become a household catchphrase? How many Democrats took to the airwaves and smacked down the Republicans' numerous lies on the aborted terrorist attack?

Who was out there selling and promoting the public option (besides Obama, every two months or so, more tepidly each time)? Do the Democrats have a CLUE about messaging?

The Democrats are perceived as wimps who stand for nothing... because they ARE wimps who stand for nothing.

    •  Huh? (0+ / 0-)

You think the MSM are not corporate controlled?
You think the Overton Window has not been deliberately moved to the far right?

         Tell the Democratic leadership.

They seem to be completely clueless about the situation.

        •  No, I'm telling YOU (0+ / 0-)

You're here right now, complaining about them.
I'm telling you to stop blaming the leadership, and stop waiting for someone else to save you.
It is YOUR job, and mine.

Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.

I'm not talking about myself, personally, but we -- meaning Democratic activists -- have developed a very, very strong and powerful tool to beat back the corporate media, and that's the netroots and the blogosphere. There are plenty of tools available here for the Dem leadership to use if they want to effectively fight Republicans. The leadership working in conjunction with the blogs would produce amazing results.

Instead, they run away from us.

And keep on losing debates (and elections) they should be winning.

That we could be used better, I have no doubt.

The Democratic "establishment" - meaning, incumbents and their sponsors - can be made to understand the problem.  Act Blue has it right:  "Primary" the wafflers.
