      It's happening already. Troop levels in Iraq are below 100,000 for the first time since 2003.

      Afghanistan has a timeline. Let's see if Obama holds them to it, but theoretically the troops should come home starting in 2012.

        ...the military was overtaxed. Bush broke it. Our folks did back-to-back tours in general. They need a rest.

        I'm no fan of Blackwater, but I also know some diplomatic staff that I'd like to see staying safe.

        I think this thing needs some kind of amendment that the contractors don't leave until Gov't employees get hired in their place. Don't need a 'donut hole' in security.
