    and many of my math classes never helped me understand WHY having the ability to convert physical concepts into mathematical representations mattered

      I never realized the importance of that until I had to solve engineering problems in later classes and out in the real world.

      Moderation in most things. Except Reactors. IFR forever!

        Having math professors teaching a bunch of us engineering students about PDEs and vector calculus was expedient, I suppose, but it never helped us retain or know how to USE the mathematical tools they were trying so hard to get into our heads
