    I think it is pretty obvious that small organic farmers tend to get the shaft because the big agribusiness interests are just way better financed and can lobby Congress to make the unreasonable and even the idiotic seem like ultimate reason.  

    Of course, their best dodge is to use the momentum in favor of regulating against tainted food to the disadvantage of the smaller growers.  That has to be one of the oldest plays in the book and even stupid lawyers can think of stuff that is only as clever as that.

    The problem is that any members of Congress might actually fall for it.

    hope that the idiots who have no constructive and creative solutions but only look to tear down will not win the day.

      One big grower had an e. coli problem; now all growers, large and small, organic or chemical, have to pasturize or fumigate all almonds.

      Much easier for big growers of course to buy the very expensive extra equipment. Regulations like this do not support community, organic, or small farming.
