    Periods have been moving younger for some generations. I think body fat may be one of the indicators the system relies on, and we have an obesity problem just now so that may be an important factor.

    The hormone problem is very real and from much more than beef. Birth control hormones are in the water supply, and many plastics used in food wrapping & containment contain estrogen act-alikes (?) I think.

      A scientist friend of mine assures me that any hormones in milk couldn't cause human hormonal changes, because the hormone receptors in humans are so different from cows.  I'm not sure I'd bet my life on it, but I believe that that's the best she knows with the science available.  (I don't eat or drink any beef or dairy that's been fed hormones anyway.)
