    Cable infrastructure which like satellite should be nationalized so that government can (while not regulating content) ensure access and community service and ownership limitations.

      liberal bias = failure to validate or sufficiently flatter the conservative narrative on any given subject

    •  A good bit of the programming is distributed via (0+ / 0-)

      satellite from the main production studio to the "head ends" of cable systems.  Also, some of the programming (live remotes) is sent to the main prduction studio via satellite.

      Satellite communications operate over the air, using radio frequencies (microwaves), which are public property.

      Also, many cable distribution systems employ public rights of way alongside roads.

      So, cable systems are not purely private property, and it is because of their use of public property that the government can regulate cable content (and rates) without outright nationalization of the cable systems themselves.
