Very good - Engle really looks crazy there. But I'd like to see a bit more comprehensive one about Brownback, with all of his crazy ties - e.g., with segments from Maddow's C-Street segments etc. I wish I was skilled at video editing...

...THEN find someone who can do the editing.

BTW there's footage of Brownback at the "Prayercast" I mentioned. I have it, and Kyle at rightwingwatch has it too.

    •  per Trout, all you need are the writing skills. (1+ / 0-)

      Find the raw video clips.

Play them on a viewer that gives you a time-stamp at the bottom so you can make notes about the start-time and end-time of each part of each video you want to use in the finished production.

Write the text script describing the clips, and any voice-overs and text you want to add.

Then find someone who is also alarmed by these extremists, and who knows how to do video editing & production and has the software tools to do it.  Show the rough version of the finished product to others who are experts in the field, e.g. Trout and others around here and on Talk2Action.org.   Use their feedback to make improvements.  Then take the finished product and spread it around.

      Important notes about production values:

Avoid rapid cuts and flashy video tricks of the kind that are often used in advertising and short video production.   Visual "candy" and "tricks" are a distraction from the actual message.  The emotional impact of this should reside in the clips of the extremists preaching their hate-spew, and in your comments on them.  Your comments should be brief and illustrative, and should try to ask questions that get the viewer to make the connections.

If you have to use a lengthy explanation for something, that only means that you need to go find more or better clips of the extremists themselves saying it in their own words.  The goal is for them to convict themselves, and for the evidence to be self-sufficient for them to do so.
