    You listed the reasons why. It would be great if you had the time to go into depth of issue every week for Dkos. The various bills that are up for debate now do not exist in a vacuum. For example, Arizona is massively subsidized for cotton, potatoes, rice (!) and  melons. There are water issues to consider. There is also the thing of migrant workers, illegal or otherwise, who are paid substandard wages for crop picking. There transport issues and so on. There is a lot to consider when looking in the food shopping basket!
