corn syrup. My wife and I dropped it from our diet cold turkey, but my 4yo daughter seems to be reacting badly. She's had temper tantrums out the proverbial wazoo, night terrors, and seems very out of sorts ever since we went grocery shopping on Saturday.

By the way, I just bought a share in a CSA, and while its lack of government subsidies makes the poultry more expensive, the fruits and vegetables are actually cheaper than the organic/local stuff at Whole Libertarian Foods. I've found a lot of anti-local/organic and anti-CSA articles out on the web, all of which make the pitch that it's elitist to spurn corporate-farmed, GMO- and pesticide-riddled food. Don't they know that the Rovian tactic of accusing your opponent of what you're doing is so 2004?

Anyway, you've inspired me! I think I might start a blog about my adventure with the CSA.

is being hosted by a guy who was an aldermanic candidate for our ward back in 2007. I actually worked for one of his opponents who was running for that seat. I hope he doesn't remember me! That could make our weekly pickups a little awkward. It's not like I wrote anything slanderous about him or anything, and we both lost to the hideous Bernie Stone as well.

I can't escape politics! More fodder for the blog, I guess.
