  •  I can an will blame Obama for what he... (21+ / 0-)

...does that is supportive of a corrupt Oligarchy, that the Republican Leadership is also a part of, if he can't find the courage to pursue what are OBVIOUSLY correct and badly needed reforms. THAT IS WHAT HE WAS ELECTED TO DO!

The day for politics as usual is past and both parties need to understand that, the days of "what ifs" and "becauses" are also over. Too many people understand what is going on in DC. The American People have had enough of this misrule.

    •  Maybe Obama doesnt want to get assasinated (6+ / 0-)

I have no doubt that loyal Bushies or Cheney's little emps are still alive and well in the CIA and would allow him to be taken out if he gets too close to the truth about CIA complicity in some matters.

Not all CIA are of this ilk but it would only take a few to make this very dangerous.

It will take a long time for this to play out.
I hope enough of old Bush cronies can be removed from
the Justice Dept to make a dent in the corruption over there.

A vote for Obama is a vote for the return of democratic principles. He nominates good people and that will be his legacy.Returning Republicans to office is two steps backward.I am surprised that people can't see that.

So , you can have a little hissy fit and threaten to vote Republican if Obama doesn't turn things around fast enough but who does that really hurt?

...you do not deserve a rational answer, so fuck off.

      •  Of course he would be risking (11+ / 0-)

assassination.  I have no doubt that it's a very definite possibility and they ALL (Congressional leadership too) know it.  And they ALL fear it.  And I might even excuse them for it.  But NOT when they are willing to send hundreds of thousands of farm kids straight out of Poverty High overseas to kill and be killed in order to avoid taking that risk (a risk that is MUCH more likely to end their cushy careers than their privileged lives).  I cannot respect or sympathize with cowards who finding themselves in the middle of a shoot-out choose to shield themselves by hiding behind babies rather than fighting to protect them.

      •  then he should resign (7+ / 0-)

If he can't do the right thing because he'll be assassinated, he should resign, as he's not doing himself, his family, nor the public any favors in the process.

So he's going along with all this usurping of the Constitution so he's not assassinated?

That says a whole lot more than it should, and probably more than you meant to say.

...on new presidents.  After the election, the CIA and other PTB invite the President Elect to watch a short film.  It's a video of the JFK assassination, from an angle never seen before by the public.  In fact, it looks like it was taken close to where the shooter must have been standing.....

After the film is over, a man from the CIA turns the lights back on in the room, and asks, "right, any questions?"

well, an author, anyway. Didn't know that.

I mean, I've heard the gist of this story a number of different ways, just never ascribed to one particular person...

...since comedians like to embellish old stories.  We could ask him, but unfortunately he died of pancreatic cancer shortly after Clinton took office.

It's a damn shame, we really could have used him these last 10 years.  You can find lots of clips on Youtube, though, and there are CD's available....
