    are (soon to be "were") commonly planted as street trees and park trees, it will be taxpayer dollars going to cut them down.  As hazard trees, dead and dying trees can not be left standing because if they fall and cause damage or injury, the local government will be held liable.

    If you live in Ohio or Michigan or in ANY state bordering these two states, look for dead ash trees in a month or so when the trees have fully leafed out.  They'll look like upside down twig brooms.  Ash trees limbs reach up, not out and they'll be a bare gray when the trees around them are green.

    The good news is that the damage the EAB causes is quite severe and quick, so most trees will not linger on.
