    . . . are witnessing the biological destruction of the Great Lakes.  All for convenience and profit with no long-lasting benefit to any of us yet saddling us and our children with an impoverishment of our Great Lakes - FOREVER.  And, we have become so estranged from our environment that such destruction as you mention goes unnoticed by the bulk of Americans.
