  •  Oh noes! More of them liberal facts (6+ / 0-)

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook yesterday:

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, violent crime in Arizona was lower in 2006, 2007, and 2008 than any year since 1983. Property crime in Arizona was lower in 2006, 2007, and 2008 than any year since 1968. In addition, the violent crime rate dropped from 577.9 per 100,000 population in 1998 to 447 per 100,0...00 population in 2008; the property crime rate dropped from 5,997 to 4,291 during the same period.

He also noted that "During the same decade, Arizona's undocumented immigrant population grew rapidly."

I reposted it on my profile, noting that I had stolen it from him ;).

Facts are inconvenient things, ain't they? Given the above stats, if one wanted to continue the drop in crime, it logically makes sense to allow for more undocumented immigrants. If enough undocumented immigrants moved to Arizona, their crime rate could drop to zero!
